A physician home loan, also called a medical professional home loan, is a mortgage built for doctors and other medical professionals. It allows up to 100 percent financing in eligible scenarios, does not require mortgage insurance above 90.01 percent loan-to-value, and can work around student loan debt and a job that hasn't started yet. We offer it on primary residences across all 100 NC counties.
Eligible credentials include MD, DO, DDS, DMD, PharmD, DVM or VMD, and DPM, along with eligible CRNAs and medical residents, fellows, and interns with eligible degrees. The loan is for a one-unit primary residence such as a single-family home, PUD, or warrantable condo. Chiropractors are not eligible for this program.
Often, yes. Eligible buyers can finance up to 95 to 100 percent of the purchase price depending on credit score and loan amount. That means little to no money down in qualifying scenarios, so your savings can stay liquid.
